Saying Goodbye & Hello
beatles_hello_goodbye.jpg

Early last month, I announced that I had launched a new initiative called the Path of the Blue Eye project.  It is designed to foster greater collaboration and knowledge sharing among people in the health marketing communications field.  It was a risky move, but it appears to be paying off.

We are still in the early days of the project, but I’m very pleased that nearly 200 people from companies and organizations like Johnson & Johnson, AIDS.gov, Novartis, Shire, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, OrganizedWisdom and Digitas have joined the movement via Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.

In addition, we launched a blog, titled Walking the Path, and invited people from across the health industry to contribute.  Once again, I have been delighted by the response.  In addition to myself, five well-regarded experts, including Jane Sarasohn-Kahn, David Harlow and Nedra Kline Weinreich, have agreed to develop content for the Weblog.

What does all of this activity suggest?  Well, it means that the Path of the Blue Eye project is getting stronger each day.  It’s real, serious and here to stay.

However, as I expected, it is taking a lot of work.  In addition to fulfilling my client responsibilities, we are building a collaboration hub and forging partnerships with a range of organizations.  Something’s got to give.  Today I’m announcing that as of this post I will no longer be writing HealthCareVox.

As you can imagine this was a difficult decision.  I started writing this blog in January 2006 when the health blogging world was a lot smaller than it is today.  I have been (and remain) hugely appreciative of all those who have diligently read, commented on and shared my content over the years.  You all played a big role in helping make HealthCareVox what it is today.

However, even though I am saying goodbye, this is also a hello.  Consider this an invitation to follow me over to Walking the Path.  Here are some of the reasons I think you will benefit from reading this new Weblog:

•  New Perspectives:  My co-authors and I will write about health marketing communications and related topics from a variety of perspectives.  I will no longer be the lone voice.
•  A Similar Focus, But More Diversity: I will continue to write about some of the topics I covered on this blog. In addition, I’m looking forward to having co-authors who will help challenge and broaden my thinking.
•  New Voices:  When the Path of the Blue Eye collaboration hub launches we will feature active contributors to the community on a regular basis via profiles and guest posts.
•  Case Studies: We also plan to regularly feature case studies focusing on health marketing communications campaigns using social technologies and other tools on a regular basis.  In fact, you can read some recently published case studies here and here.  If you enjoy learning from others, you’ll love Walking the Path.

I hope to see many of you at Walking the Path.  And, if this is the end of our journey together, thank you for supporting me and this blog for all of these years.

Following are a few notes about the future administration of this blog.

1. This blog will remain live for the foreseeable future, so you will be able to benefit from the archive.
2. I am deactivating the contact e-mail address for this blog (healthcarevox [at] . . .). If you send e-mails to this address they will bounce.
3. I will not be accepting public relations pitches at Walking the Path. The blog’s editorial calendar is currently full and will get fuller when the collaboration hub launches.

Yes, best wishes Fard although I know wherever your endeavors take you with the Path, it will be a success! looking forward to following over there. Thanks for writing here and helping me to learn more during my initial days as a blogger.

It is very useful and the postings are very interesting for more information you can check :

Parkinson's disease is caused by deterioration or death of certain neurons in a brain area known as substance nigra. These neurons produce dopamine, a neurotransmitter responsible for transmitting the signals between the substance nigra and the corpus striatum, upon a good muscle activity.
The decrease in dopamine production in patients causes an inability to direct or control their movements as normal, due to lack of nerve cells in the striatum. Studies that findrxonline has shown that Parkinson's patients have a loss of 80% or more of dopamine-producing cells in the substance nigra. The cause of this cell death or damage is unknown.

Breast pain is a common problem among women, can still be thrown in your bed or reading the newspaper and suddenly felt a terrible pain in the breasts as if it was a blow that leaves you breathless. The bust is harmful for several reasons, perhaps most frequent menstruation. In findrxonline suggest that women should not be concerned by these problems because they can start a week before the period and extending through the last day, the reason is the increase in estrogen in the body. These hormonal fluctuations cause the breast tissue is filled with fluid and become more responsive, causing two things: hincones in the chest and put heavy stones when you are with the rule.

Really to increased the number of cases, and we must see that type of incident will improve the way of helping the people, for it in findrxonline will find the solutions and other ways of offsetting it.

Just stumbled upon this blog. I hope you keep up the good work. Case studies will really be useful for some real life application.

Even though complaints from chronic pain patients are easier to diagnose and document we now have created a situation where doctors are under-prescribing out of fear, especially if their patient are in their last stages of life because the docs can be charged with murder if autopsies shows high traces of pain medication, this indicated findrxonline in article. I pray this madness comes to an end and I sincerely hope none of you will ever be dying in extreme pain in a hospital, nursing home or maybe at your own house while the doctor is afraid to give you that prescription or injection during your last moments. Yes, definitely keep this medication away from kids but do make it available to those who can benefit from it!

At present there are millions of people worldwide suffering from cancer, but now this disease has a better alternative to fight still continues to harm many people in the world, I am in the fourth cycle of medicine and I find out much about the consequences and outcomes of this disease and indicate the following findrxonline and actually say some things like this:
"Cancer is a disease that causes fear and distress to listen, but if you have cancer can be cured is much higher than what most people think, especially if detected early. Cancer is one of the most deadly diseases in the world today and tragically unfolded. The snuff has many carcinogens have been detected in smoke snuff, consumption also increases the frequency of cardiovascular diseases. There are several forms of cancer that can affect our body such as breast cancer, liver cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal, ovarian cancer, kidney cancer, etc.., In any form cancer is curable, but we must make our medical checkups for early detection. "

Having injured my back this summer, I have come to learn a lot about pain firsthand. Pain can be hard to define. It means different things to different people and your own perception of pain can change over time, it indicates findrxonline in his article. For some people, acknowledging pain is a sign of weakness. What most people don't realize is that pain is a medical problem -- and that it can be treated.

I rarely post, but I wanted to say thanks for sharing this information.

Am lost for words. How sad? So are you going to be like in semi-retirement?

If you are interested in Healthy Living, you should be interested in Ayurveda. It's not anything weird - it means "longevity". There's a pretty good book on choosing foods that are best for your unique physical makeup.

A new blog of medicine and law.

In spanish.

Really to increased the number of cases, and we must see that type of incident will improve the way of helping the people, for it in findrxonline will find the solutions and other ways of offsetting it.
